**Il direttore generale del Real Madrid Jorge Valdano annuncia la chiusura del mercato in entrata delle merengues, "Oezil è stato l'ultimo colpo, abbiamo fatto grandi sforzi per ringiovanire la squadra". Alla corte di Josè Mourinho sono infatti arrivati 6 giocatoti, 5 under-23 (Oezil, Khedira, Canales, Pedro Leon e Di Maria) più il fedelissimo Ricardo Carvalho, per un totale di 80 milioni spesi, la metà di quanto ha sborsato fin'ora il Manchester City. Il calciomercato, quest'anno, ha dunque un nuovo re.**
